Double-click on the My Computer icon on the Desktop. Double-click on Dial-Up Networking Double-click on the Make New Connection icon There will be a box that says “Type a name for the computer you are dialing” . In that box, type “surfVI”, then click Next Now you’ll see a box called “Telephone number”. In that box, type 775-7873. Don't type anything in the area code box! Click Next Click Finish Right-click on the surfVI icon Click Properties Scroll down halfway until you see a checkbox called “Use Country code and Dialing Properties”. Make sure this box is NOT checked. Click on the Server Types tab at the top of the window Make sure the following boxes are NOT checked: Log onto network NetBEUI IPX/SPX Compatible Click OK Close the Dial-Up Networking window. Close the My Computer window. You ’re finished!
