surfVI | Mac OS X Setup | configuring Mail

1. Once Mail is open, select Preferences... from the Mail menu at the top left.
2. Click Accounts at the top, then click the + sign at the bottom to add a new account.
3. For account type select IMAP.
4. Fill out the information required for the new account. For description enter My surfVI account or something to help you identify this account. For email address enter your email address with surfVI. Enter your full name the way you'd like it to appear on messages. Your incoming mail server is imap.surfvi.com Enter your username (which is the same as your email address) and password just as you entered it during signup.
5. Now you need to add your outgoing mail server. Click on the pop-up menu and select Add Server...
6. For the Outgoing Mail Server enter smtp.surfvi.com then click on OK. 7. Click on the X in the top left to close the window and you are done. Mail will automatically try to contact the mail server and get your mail.
