Wireless Internet installation technician

Ackley Communications/ surfVI is seeking professional installers for our wireless high-speed internet.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Installs appropriate devices; dismantles and reconstructs equipment as required by customer or Ackley Communications. Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and cleans up installation debris.

2. Contacts customers prior to the date of scheduled installation to verify schedule.

3. Prepares estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions of supervisor.

4. Follows proper schematic diagrams and installation procedures. Tests operation of system to properly establish service.

Qualifications:

Must be Virgin Islands resident

Must have own vehicle, tools and laptop computer.

Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.

Ability to operate hand and power tools.

We will provide training- candidates must pass network proficiency test.

Technical Support

Ackley Communications/ surfVI is seeking technical support specialists for our dial-up and high-speed internet offerings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Answer customer calls and inquiries about our internet service offerings.

2. Provide basic troubleshooting support to customers.

3. Work with our internal teams to insure timely resolution of customer issues.

4. If unable to resolve the problem, document the details and escalate to responsible party for corrective action.


Qualifications:

Must be Virgin Islands resident

Must have 2+ years experience in a support role.

Must have strong knowledge of Internet Service.

Must have strong communication skills, technical aptitude and the ability to resolve technical issues.

Previous experience with a help desk ticket tracking system is preferred.

We will train you on our systems and procedures.
